Ellen A. Trappey, MEd, LPC
Ellen A. Trappey received a Master's degree in Counseling from Lynchburg College in Virginia and an undergraduate degree in Classical Studies from Millsaps College in Jackson, Miss. She has clinical experience working in a variety of university settings including Johns Hopkins University, The University of Pennsylvania and Saint Joseph's University. She has worked with both individuals and couples.
In counseling sessions, Ellen utilizes a warm, interactive, and supportive approach in working with clients. She believes that the fit between client and counselor is vital in the therapeutic process, and she works to help clients feel comfortable and understood as they work through challenges. Though she has specific training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ellen uses an integrative approach and she strives to match different therapeutic techniques with each individual client, enabling them to find hope, meaning and purpose in life.
