Matthew J. Quinn, LPC, MBA

Washington, D.C. Location

“The light at the end of the tunnel is not an illusion. The tunnel is.”- unknown

Matthew’s approach to counseling is to meet each person where they are and create the environment where they can safely explore where they want to be. From experience, Matthew has come to understand that it is often irrational thinking that can be the obstruction of our personal and professional progress and success.

Helping people confront and manage the challenges that occur at the intersection of self-awareness and emotional regulation is something Matthew believes leads to well being. In therapy, Matthew uses an integrated approach of narrative theory and rational emotive behavior therapy. He specializes in Emotion Management such as Anger and Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Career Strategies, and Life Coaching. He uses ideas and models that are easy to understand and strategies that can be applied outside of the session.

Matthew received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in International Politics and was awarded dual master's degrees in Strategic Management and Mental Health Counseling from Pace University and Fordham University in New York City respectively. Matthew is available Monday through Friday for either 50-or 75-minute sessions.
